New Art by Ray Roberts - "Shimmering Pacific, Rocky Point Bridge"
Ray Roberts' newest piece puts us right at the ocean's edge, and shows his mastery of using light to create a dynamic scene.
“The Pacific Coastline has been a source of personal inspiration for such a long time. The warm, desert-like colors meet the water, a mesmeric, reflective surface, offering the challenge to paint it in it’s many visages. When I paint a seascape, opportunities arise in terms of design, light and color that are unique to this subject. This stretch of coastline, south of Carmel to Big Sur, has a southeast to northwest orientation which creates backlit views of the ocean that hold for hours at a time during the winter months.” --Ray Roberts
